Made from reclaimed woollen sweaters this togo cup sleeve is almost zero waste. I used the bits leftover from larger projects to create it.

Washing Instructions

Here is a little note on washing the stuff I make, be it a decor item or some article of clothing. Hand wash in cold water or wash on the delicate cycle. Lay out flat to dry.

As for the Dollies put them into a bag for dedicates. If they are dirty their clothes are probably dirty too so let them wear their clothes in the washer. Then let them air dry. 

Part of the weekend pile.

Three days of work and I crawl out from under a pile of product ready to keep you cozy and warm...I know I was warm under it.

Cozie Blankies

These two needed to get out of the house quick or I was going to keep them for myself. They are now at Ainsworth with some other blanket friends looking for good homes with people that need to be snuggled in a cozie blankie. No matter how old you are we all need our blankie now and then.

Pint Mason Jars

So my love for Mason jars has added a new little something to my collection of sundry items. As Christmas gifts for my friends I wanted to give blue glass pint jars. One cannot just give a jar to a friend one must make it a little sweater for it. So here we are at the beginning of 2014 with Mason jars with cozie little sweater on. With all things that are found under the label decor I have trucked a few down to Ainsworth on Granville Island right here in lovely Vancouver. Should you find your self with a little sweater on a Mason jar you can fill it with a variety of fluids hot or cold and have yourself cozie little mug. If you find yourself wanting to take you mug on the go The Soap Dispensary on Main St. (as do some other kitchen places) have conversion lids that turn this little cozie jar into a to go mug.

Little sweaters to keep contents warm or cool but most of all stylish.

Make Your Own Electrolyte Energy Drink

Ingredients: Lemons, limes, oranges, salt, honey, water, coconut water, sugar, strawberries.Why the ingredients: There isn’t much need to delve into why each ingredient is included. They all fall under the blanket statement of being a good source of electrolytes, tasty, or both.

Lay-Low Recipe

You will need…

-1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice

-1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

-1 ½ to 2 cups fresh water, depending on how strong you want the flavor

-1/8 teaspoon of sea salt

-2 tablespoons natural sugar or honey, to taste

Directions

Toss everything into a food blender and blend until the honey is dissolved, or just use some elbow grease and blend it by hand. Pour yourself a tall glass, drop in a few ice cubes, and enjoy.

Bright ‘n Early Recipe

You will need…

-1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

-1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

-1 ½ to 2 cups of fresh water

-1/8 teaspoon of sea salt

-2 tablespoons natural sugar or honey, to taste

Directions

Same as above. You can halve or double the recipe as you need, and feel free to experiment with flavors. Keep in mind citrus fruits, especially orange, are a good source of electrolytes.

Sweet and Smooth-ie recipe

You will need…

-3 cups of coconut water

-1 cup of strawberries

-1 cup of fresh water

-1 cup of ice

-1/8 teaspoon of sea salt

-2 tablespoons natural sugar or honey, to taste

Directions

Throw into your blender and let it run until everything is thoroughly mixed together and the mixture is smooth.

Tea Cozies

Just a few new ones off to Shaktea tea shop soon. They just need their care labels.

Colours Galore.

Just some colours that arrived today.

Drinking coffee and plotting the week.

On the way to my other life I had a few minutes to have a cup of coffee and make plans for the week. Really it is just a rather organized to do list. Mostly it looks as if I need to get my custom stuff done...Christmas is coming...ack! Well the coffee was good and so was the rest of my day. My afternoons fly by and there is no time for drinking coffee little people make sure I am never bored. On my way home there was no stopping for coffee as I really needed to get home and cook dinner before I fell over. Low and behold the #9 bus that pulled up to my stop had my tea cozie on it. I have been waiting to see if it made it onto a bus. I have seen other buses that are advertising Christmas shopping on Grandville Island. Ainsworth the lovely shop that sells my stuff down there and they have my tea cozie as one of the things to promote their shop this holiday season. So if you are out and about maybe you will see the famous little cozie on a bus too. The lovely ladies at Shaktea have cozies too as well as REALLY good tea they are on Main Street.

 The cute little cozies have made their way to Ainsworth on Grandville Island. Do not panic a supply is still with the wonderful women of Shaktea keeping the tea warm while you sit and sip. As well as some being available for you to take home to your own tea pot. They just decided they could branch out and meet some more people. The tourist and the art folk that venture around Grandville Island do not always come and check out our fantastic Main Street (even though they really should). So if you have a Brown Betty type tea pot or know some one who does there are tea cozies that are looking for loving homes. Go and visit them at the two location. You just never know what else you may find.
